A lot of things have changed since 1991

The company's initial intention was to sort and ecologically process used tyres and rubber waste.

Why not build on the successful start in the tyre business by expanding other services in the industry such as building a complete, and at the time very modern, facility for tyre sales, repair and service. For many people, it was a bad idea to build a tyre centre outside Brno, but the time and results showed it was a great decision.

Thanks to the synergy between the recycling department and the tyre distribution, the possibility of refurbishing or retreading tyres was also offered. From now on, we were able to offer our truck customers a complete service for the sale, servicing, retreading and subsequent recycling of tyres.

Tyres are a distinctly seasonal affair. So it was necessary to look for other ways to cover the "cucumber" season. The next step was to expand services to include mechanical work and vehicle alignment in the form of a new car service centre in Brno.

Although the company's strategy from the very beginning was to operate everything in its own properties, in this case there was an opportunity to open a tire shop in rented property, in the form of a tire service that is focused mainly on corporate clients and trucks.

The Wild Nineties are over and companies have started looking for ways to save time and money. In fleet management, a mobile tyre service can help with this by changing or repairing tyres directly at the customer's location. In the event of a problem on the road, it can then intervene anytime, anywhere 24/7.

For further growth and development of the company it was necessary to change the form of the company from a natural person to a limited liability company. Along with this move, we implemented a new ERP system that opens up new possibilities, especially in tyre sales.

To make the back-collection and processing of used tyres more efficient and faster across the country, we have opened a recycling department in Prague. The facilities at this centre also enabled us to offer truck tyre services and also act as a warehouse and base for the mobile tyre service.

The tyre center in Mokrá-Horákov has been extended by a new warehouse adapted for tyre storage with an area of 1500m2 and a capacity of approximately 20,000 passenger tyres. Better tyre storage and availability of goods has allowed us to focus more on wholesale distribution.

The increase in production and sales of retreads and the goal of maintaining a high and stable product quality required the retreading plant to be enlarged and modernised. The production plant was relocated and supplemented with the most modern technologies on the market, such as an automatic buffing machine or an automatic laser tread rolling machine.

For a long time we believed that tyre sales were dependent on the brick-and-mortar tyre shop. However, the internet boom and consumer behaviour proved otherwise and we had to embark on the challenging journey of building a premium B2C e-shop under the pneuboss.cz brand.

A successful e-shop depends on stock availability and breadth of product range. The acquisition of a warehouse in Šlapanice near Brno with an area of 5000m2 and a capacity of up to 100,000 passenger tyres has helped us significantly. The site are also partly used by the recycling department for processing worn tyres.

We have been a family-owned business since the beginning and are one of the few in the industry with a succession plan in the form of a 3rd generation that became fully involved in the management of the company in 2016. The first steps were to focus on digitizing, streamlining and automating processes within the company.

We always want to offer the highest level of service. After the modernisation of our warehouse in Mokrá, we are able to offer the services of a 5* hotel for your tyres and wheels. Everything is stored according to the technical requirements and recommendations of the tyre manufacturers, including bar-coded storage for quick and accurate location of your tyres.

We expanded the sales of tyres and wheels to end customers in Slovakia.

The growth in sales and inventories was no longer sustainable without improvements in logistics. We therefore invested in modernising and digitising our warehouse. We now have a racking system throughout the warehouse, wrapping machines, a fleet of forklifts and a new internal WMS system with barcode scanners to monitor the movement of goods within the warehouse. This allows us to do everything faster and without errors.

For demanding customers, we are now able to provide complete data connections including dropshipping services. You have the sales channel with customers, we have the warehouses, goods and logistics. Business can run automated without unnecessary manual work and hassle.

The Brno - Vinohrady branch offers the widest portfolio of car repair and tyre services. Now you can come to the branch to wash your car, bike or motorcycle. The self-service carwash centre offers all washing programmes including a fully equipped cleaning zone for interior and exterior detailing.

This year, we are starting the construction of a new modern logistics centre, including the administrative part, which will serve as the new headquarters of the company. The planned capacity of the 10.000m2 warehouse is 250.000 tyres.
